Break the Problem Apart

A multi-step problem hides smaller questions inside it. Find those sub-questions, answer each one on its own, then combine the results into the final answer. Four trays of 6 muffins with 9 sold is really two steps: 4 × 6 = 24 muffins baked, then 24 - 9 = 15 left.
