Choose an Efficient Order

Several step orders can all be correct, but they do not cost the same. Count the operations each path takes and pick the shorter one, since both reach the same answer. Adding first in 5 × (8 + 12) needs one multiplication, while (5 × 8) + (5 × 12) needs two.
