Multiply and Divide Decimals

Multiply decimals as if the points were not there, then put the point back so the answer has as many decimal places as the two factors had together. Since 3 × 24 = 72, it follows that 0.3 × 2.4 = 0.72. Dividing reverses this: scale both numbers by ten until the divisor is whole.
