Add and Subtract Decimals

To add or subtract decimals, line up the decimal points so every place sits over its match, then work as you would with whole numbers. Fill short numbers out with zeros to keep the columns straight. Lining up 3.40 and 0.75 gives 4.15; lining up the last digits instead would not.
