Graph Linear Relationships

A relationship is linear when the output changes by the same amount for every equal step in the input, which makes its graph a straight line. Build a small table from the rule, plot the points, and join them. For y = 2x + 1, the points (0, 1), (1, 3), and (2, 5) line up exactly.
