Cylinder Surface Area

A cylinder is easier to measure unrolled. The curved side opens out into a rectangle as wide as the circumference, and the two ends are circles, so the surface is 2πrh + 2πr². A tin whose side unrolls to 62.8 and whose ends total 25.12 has a surface of 87.92.
